    Laniado Hospital Needs Your Help!

An Open Letter from the Board of Directors of Canadian Friends of Laniado Hospital.

    THE NEED…

The Hospital has recently contacted our organization with a list of items that are urgently needed including:

    • Open transport warmers for the newborn unit
    • An ambulance
    • Ventilators for the Cardiology unit
    • Feeding pumps for the Geriatric unit.

    THE STORY BEHIND THE HOSPITAL...

Laniado Hospital was founded by the Klausenberger Rebbe, a holocaust survivor whose family including his wife and eleven children perished. After surviving a gunshot wound on a forced death march in the summer of 1944 he vowed to build a hospital. His vision was to build a hospital where no person is ever turned away, regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status.

Fast forward to 2018, where with our generous worldwide supporters, the hospital is now a public non-profit institution and is the only hospital in the Netanya area, offering services to over 450,000 people. For many years Laniado hospital has relied on the support of the Toronto Community. Many of its supporters were contributors from the Middle East and Holocaust survivors who admired the Hospital and its mission to provide care to all.
